Decisive Moment

Uploaded: August 29, 2009 14:01:42

Description

This provocative image is about the essence of having a gun pointed at you. It is designed with a narrow DOF (3/4") and low light causing everything but the front of the gun to fall quickly out of focus. Viewers will intuitively want to assign their own point of view but the image doesn't provide enough information to allow certainty in the intrepretation. Instead, viewers are forced to return to the one certainty which is to confront the gun, not unlike real life. Some viewers may find this disturbing but it gives visual emphasis to fears common to people around the world.
