Description

Taken at the Thai Culture Concert in Denver Colorado under stage lighting. I had to push the "film speed" to 1600 to have a shutter speed fast enough for the shots. The apeture was limited to 4.5 by my zoom lense and the resulting shot was grainier than I think is acceptable in a quality shot. The shot was too good to discard though so I took it into Photoshop and ran a couple of filters on it (watercolor on two layers and masked to give a gradient of effect) I think the result is quite attractive and in keeping with the subject and tone of the piece.

Larry this is very beautiful. Love the girl with the umbrella and the decorations in her hair.

Just stunning. Excellent people capture.

Thank you Kirby! This is the second of my photos you have blessed me to comment on and either you are compulsively verbose and comment on EVERYONE'S pics or I am qualified to feel special about this. Thanks again.

The shot was really a heartbreaker though. It was a great capture that unfortunately either I or my equipment just wasn't up to doing justice to. I hate having to dink around in photoshop to try to artsify a shot to coverup for serious flaws. If only my lense could have supported a larger f-stop. (sigh) Oh well, at least I learned a little. #1352371
