Spirit Houses

Uploaded: August 20, 2009

Description

The Athabaskians believe that when you die, your spirit stays over the body for a year, so they build these spirit houses for the spirit to stay in for that year. The Russian Orthodox Church is very good about not destroying the native culture, and welcomes their customs.
