Huge Congratulations on your EP Pete! What a cool pix and this tight crop I think works really well. I like how you can see the rain coming down too...I wonder how many people have stared at this statue and wonder what he is thinking about? :) Great job! #1164820

Hi Susan! Thank you muchly! BP are having a generous spell with me. I now have had three consecutive EPs for my Cornwall images.
This happy guy was one of two on adjacent gateposts in a very narrow lane off the main square of the tiny village of Pentewan on the south Cornish coast and just a couple of miles from where we were vacationing throughout July. I was sheltering from the rain in a doorway and this
character was mocking me. They remind me of the gargoyles on the towers of many ancient churches in Cornwall but I was not able to find anyone who could tell me about these.
Warm regards Susan. Pete

there is nothing to critique in this photo! I'm normally not a fan of stone statue photos but I like this one a lot. LIKE: the color of the stone and green, how we can see the rain coming down in slants, the arrangement in the frame and the posture and expression of the stature (but I know that wasn't your doing!) #7864424
