I Can Do This!
Uploaded: July 12, 2009
This little gecko can lick his own eye, that is. Although I'm not entirely sure why he wants to. :)

I'm not sure why he wants to either, but he looks like he enjoys it. He's a smiling Gecko. Too cute. #1153181Nadya Johnson July 12, 2009

Mitch, he might wear contacts and licking his eye helps clean them! :-)Kathryn Wesserling July 15, 2009
Started chuckling as soon as I realized it wasn't a snake picture! Cute comment on your part! (and Nadya's, Nikki's & Joannie's, too!) #7741667Mitch Spence July 16, 2009
Debbie, Nadya, Patrick, Zana, Tammy, Nikki, Joy, Max, Amalia, Sam, Tammy, Jeff, Joannie, and Kathy--thank you! I guess these fellas are smilers by their nature. And, Nikki, I won't tell anyone you thought a reptile was cute. :) Nadya, wonder if any other sponsor might like a gecko mascot, you think? Joannie, you may be right on the contacts--I mean it COULD happen, right? No, not a snake, Kathy--nice little guys these are. :) #7745655Julianne Bradford July 18, 2009
Mitch, my grandchildren and I thought this was the most outstanding shot we had seen in a long time..they are 9 and 10. They say this wonderful smiling gecko must be someone's pet and they were trying to lick their eyes. Terrific winning Capture!!! You should be able to use this for advertising purposes. I say send it to contact lens solution manufacturer, with a note that says. "For easier cleaning..." #7752847Mitch Spence July 25, 2009
Julianne, that's glowing praise, you know--from both you and your grandkids. Actually, it isn't a pet, exactly, but was part of a reptile workshop with Jim Zuckerman that I took part in last January. It was used to people being around though. #7780676Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
