Marsha S. Smith April 20, 2005

Thanks everyone - I'm kind of overwhelmed. The little bottle these are in is one of the tiny perfume bottles you can buy in little sets at Christmas - about 2 inches high and 1 inch across. The flowers are from a really ugly weed that has big yucky leaves, but has these tiny little flowers - maybe just 1/4 to 1/2" across. Shot it against a white background, used diffuse glow and watercolor in PSCS. Kind of shot from the top so the bottle looks shorter than it really is.

I love old bottles and jars. When digging new flower beds sometimes I come across an old bottle of some kind. I save these and during the spring and summer I am always putting tiny flowers in them. Sometimes my entire centerpiece would fit on a quarter - I just put them in the kitchen window to look at. #1277186

Thank you so much, Lori. Some of the wildflowers I shoot are so tiny - I need to come up with some way to show perspective - like putting a dime in a second shot so folks could see how little they really are. #1290956
