Vintage Snowballs

Description

A Hydrangea or Snowball Bush as it is called always brings back happy memories to me. My sister and I would get under one of the huge bushes my Grandmother had in her yard and we would shake the branches and come out with the tiny little petals all over us. We use to laugh and laugh until Grandmother caught us and then it was curtains if you know what I mean.

Really lovely treatment here, Melissa. I have a big one of these in a very large container just outside the door here on the deck, and it's got so many buds this spring. Not quite ready to pop, but soon. :) Your story about the snowballs reminds me of a favorite haunt when I was a kid. My cousin and I used to sneak into the back yard of a neighbor, where there were grape vines. We'd lie there on our backs, plucking off succulent ripe grapes and popping them into our summer mouths--till we got caught, that is. :) #7571568
