exelent photo Leah-Anne, can you tell me how you made the black background ?

Hello Ivan, thanks firstly for commenting. The background is thick black velvet which I purchased from a fabric shop, since it absorbs quite a lot of light.

If the black is not entirely pure in the outcome photo (this may sometimes happen in some instances), I may fix this in Photoshop by either using one of the following,
- levels adjustment,
- curves adjustment; or
- selective colour adjustment for blacks.
