Old Schoolhouse -Ruler/Measure Tool

Uploaded: January 20, 2009 11:33:36

Description

For this version I used the ruler or measure tool to take the daylight area off of the original and to square the building up. I debated eliminating the shadow on the right side with the daylight but decided the shadow added to the picture.

Hi Jeffrey,
Thanks for your comment on my waltz image...this is a particularly nice image..I like the lines and the lighting. Why don't you have a gallery at BP? I took this same photshop course last year...pretty helpful, wasn't it?

Hi Patti,
About a week after I signed up for this course in Jan. my job disappeared. Supposedly was going to be a 3 or 4 week layoff, now I'm about to run out of my first round of unemployment. I guess the short answer to no gallery is poverty. Don't miss the job but the poverty stinks. Kathleens course was infinitely helpful in advancing my photoshop knowledge. I've started doing some local art/craft shows to supplement the unemployment, but spent far more getting started than has been returned so far. It is always amazing to find that people are actually willing to pay for my images.

Patti,
Sorry for the bad manners, but forgot to thank you for the kind words in my above response. It's summer cold time here in PA and I've been suffering for the last week, not as sharp as normal.
I looked at your gallery last night and was quite impressed with many of your images, you have a talent and I'm glad to see you pursuing the photographic aspect of your life. Looks like you have the ability to travel around in your quest for images. Keep on shooting, meanwhile, There's a Concert Hall in Vienna. lol

Good luck in your venture...hopefully it will soon read that your unemployment is supplementing your art work...the reverse in other words. Things happen for a reason and opportunity is always, and I mean always there for those who are prepared and willing...sell your art! Good luck, Jeffrey.
PS...I thought we get a gallery of 30 photos for free if we do a class...I'm pretty sure. Check it out. I remember that I did, unless they have changed things.
