Karen, Paul, and Dominick, thanks for looking and for your kind comments! I just happen to live in a place in FL with no lighthouses except those that can be reached by boat, so I was happy to be able to finally shoot one. However, this proved to be a tough one because of two huge trees that stand in front of the lighthouse. I was hoping for low tide so I could walk out aways and shoot it, but nature wasn't cooperating. The wind was blowing briskly and it was quite cold too. This is the back of the lighthouse, and I liked how the sun was hitting the side and providing that glow! Happy New year to you! #6979799

Two excellent shots, Carol. I really like the perspective on this one, though. Terrific captures. #6989417

What a fabulous capture of this imposing structure, Carol!! I, like you, also just L-O-V-E that lighting...and the sky is really outstanding!! :o) This was such a beautifully seen AND taken image...despite your difficulties in finding a suitable vantage point!! I actually think you did REALLY well!! ;o) I just LOVE looking at lighthouses...AND photographing them, too!! :o) #7017904

Absolutely beautiful light and color here, Carol, and I love the pov. You have so many great portraits this month -- terrific settings for them! -- but I'm picking this as my fav. #7115786
