"I Can Only Imagine" for Sherrybear

Uploaded: November 25, 2008

Description

DD - See inside for the original orange flower then I changed the colour to white. Then I took it into PainterX and hand painted using various brushes and a technique I learnt for my homework this week. Finalising it with a texture. Very pleased with the results! ~pat

Beautiful. One of my favorite songs. My grandaughter made me buy the CD, because your other grandfather played it in their car. She was 6 at the time. I not only can Imagine what it will be like in Heaven, but also what God has in store for me here on earth. :O) #6801029

OMGosh Pat this is just wonderful!!! The painting technigue is just beautiful!! You really came up with a wonderful image to go with this song... WOW... and I thought you might have trouble matching an image with the song... silly me I should have known better!
Thank you so much for the dedication... you are a true artist Pat... with a talent for touching peoples hearts...

Hif there family, guess what? I uploaded the wrong image here, I was practising with tinting and this one didn't match the song. I'll upload the paler version tomorrow and it will be a Dedicaton to Doc.

I am feeling so warm and fuzzy I was able to stir your emotions. Yes this is the painting style I am learning but I think folk up at BP have it set to auto painting, the computer does all the work, just sit back and watch it happen, I did one tonight but it wasn't the same then I got too tired to finish it. ~pat #6801856

What a neat project you have been working on, Pat! Would love to hear more about paint brushes. What are they? Different sized dots we can use to add or remove?

Really pretty! xx -Laura :) #6803003

Hi there Cousin Laura, this course is rather interesting. The one on BP only goes for four weeks, this one is 16 in total so is more in depth.

The brushes are paint brushes, one of the courses will be on making them myself. They come in different sizes for water colour, oil, blending, cloning.

We works on tracing paper to start with cloning the original on to another copy. Then the work begins of selecting what type of brush to work with.

There is also an auto painting feature, that is rather interesting and one I would imagine that is used up here as it takes ages to hand paint. I will most likely take advantage of it later and then hand paint some.
