Welcome to the club Jeanine. Have been waiting for an image from you and your first one is a stunner. The eyes are outstanding. Well done.could you share your exif data? I'm especially interested in your aperture setting. #6851043

Here is the original. #6851632Dale Hardin December 04, 2008
Thanks Jeanine. I was interested in the aperture because of the DOF in your image but see from the original that you did wonders with the original shot.Your gallery is excellent and I enjoyed perusing it very much. By the way, what post processing software are you using? #6852263
Jeanine M. Bailey December 05, 2008
Thanks Dale! I tried the right click thing but it didn't seem to work. I guess I'll have to look and see if I have a setting somewhere to change to make sure I keep that info! I'm using Photoshop Elements 6 for post processing. #6854402Ulysses A. Villamin December 05, 2008
Ok, after seeing the original, I think that aside from that white spot on her shoulders, you kinda overdid the editing, particularly the eyes and the teeth. The eyes were to 'strong' and doesn't not look natural anymore. Toning them up a little bit would help. I do not have issues with the crop because it shows the angle that you chose to take her shot. #6854513Dale Hardin December 05, 2008
A matter of taste I guess, but I like the eyes. Do agree that the white area over the shoulder is distracting and in view of the dynamic improvements you made to the image (which I like very much), I'd like to suggest one more.Draw a loose lasso around the teeth (no need to be overly careful here) and then select a hue/saturation layer, select the yellow from the drop down list and slide the saturation all the way to the left to de-saturate. #6854908

I LOVE the eyes,Jeannine. The only thing I might change would be to get rid of the glare over her left-hand shoulder. It is so bright that it make the eye go there. A simple clone ought to take care of that. #6867421Irene Colling December 09, 2008
I love your dynamic point of view here Jeannine and your color adjust/sharpening enhanced the image. Is the spot on her neck a permanent mole? I found it distracting and would have cloned it out completely if it is a blemish. If it is a permanent identifying mark I would at least tone it done to be less prominent.

I think hers eyes are what makes this image powerful. I would clone the bg as Debbie suggested and either tone down or read the mark as Irene suggested. Over all a dynamic shot and she s/b very pleased with this one.:) #6882765Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
