Hey Pat... this looks cool! Is this an example of the paiting effect you are working on?

Hi Sherry it is, I had others up but Dale didn't like them so I took them down. I had done a frame around one and made a card for a friends birthday so I couldn't delete it. Like the one above which I had already done.

Am doing a photo for Laura, not painted lol so folk can see that I don't need to paint just to cheat.

Thanks for your kind words Sherrybear, the next one I will do for you, what is your favorite song, Laura wants a song!

I'll ask you on the Comic Relief club as I think I put this image there.

Bye for now.

~Pat

Excellent photo art Pat.
The B&W conversion along with a stroke effect and slight texture make this a great image.
Well done. #6769984

Hi there Laura, didn't Bobby turn out nicely, geee this Painter course isn't all that easy you know.

There is autopaining where is does if for you but we haven't got to that yet and maybe that is what a lot of people use,you dial in the settings etc.

Still it keeps me off the streets LOL.

LOL yes I am but this was the wrong class for me Laura,TOOAA left brained, I had to get Grahamto help e withe my homework and by the time the 6 weeks were up I was exhausted.

the only thing I learnt was what I taught myself so have signed up for a Painter dog portrait class on the 3rd of January. Thanks for dropping by! It is very sweet of you! ~Big Sis xxxx #6914267

Graham Robards December 19, 2008

Oh it will Little sister!

And they have VIDEO!!! I could not learn with the other stuff, Graham hadto help me as huge PDF files and I couldn't figure it out at all! The entire 6 weeks was agony, the only time I felt good was when I had got the brush in my hand but I had to learn so much crap first.

With this new course it will be much easier. Am really busy at present, will try and upload tonight.

Love you! Am borrowing a lems from Graham, about to take some photos, using shutter speed priority.

Do you shoot in auto or in manual little sis?

~Pat #6914415

Laura E. Swan level-classic December 19, 2008

Sadly, Auto. When I had a Minolta (in my youth) I was always adjusting the f stops and changing one lens to another but since the digital age this darned auto is great. Flipping it to macro is real easy too! Ha! How about you? #6914430

Graham Robards December 20, 2008

I use manual but I did use auto the other night and all the photos were ruined by noise.

I used to use a tripod but I got a new lens so stopped using it. Gradually my photos became worse until this afternoon thenI got my tripod back out again.

I get camera shake, silly me forgetting to use it. I got some nice shots of Cindy, am doing them now.

I am making myself use my camera each day, yesterdays shots were dreadful as I did not use my tripod. I borrowed a lens from Graham, a really nice one, it is so heavy I need a tripod anyway.
