OH OH -- bet I saw you there. Except I know I was older. I was painting psychedelic murals then, in bars. OK mostly in Oakland! "Far Out, or What???" LOL!! THIS brings Berkeley back, all right! The Ave, in particular. (Or as we always said, "Berserk-ly.") All I can say looking at this and thinking back is ... "Time has come... TODAY!" And TOOO much has gone by - WAY TOOOO fast! What did I do with that old beaded headband, anyway!?Great image, Laura! #6752865Karen Engelbreth November 14, 2008

Hi Everyone! I've been enjoying your comments VERY MUCH.I am almost 2000 from where I grew up and sometimes I really miss it. Yet when I am there I am always feeling like someone is going to sneak up from behind and club me on the head. I don't miss the Bay Area crime, as it is now in present day. Many areas were pretty unsafe while growing up, too!
Isn't it a miracle that we have been given minds and memories so we can look back at any time and just BE THERE in the GOOD TIMES (or wherever) again with just a thought?
That's what I was hoping I could do here with this one. I'm really thrilled that this takes many of you back, too.
Thank you ALL my BP friends. You're all TOPS in my book! COOL! -Laura #6758533

Ken, Ken, Ken...How many times do I have to tell you, man? My brother borrowed those records. He spiiled beer all over your VAnilla Fudge, too, so dont blame that on me. If I get your stuff back for you, you will owe me one.
I borrowed your Sisters BOSTON and CHICAGO 8 tracks. Just finished cleaning the head (music sounds great now) and also got me some Jensen Triaxle's and a power booster. MAN. I can blow the doors off my bug now!
Now to buy that mobile CB I've been wanting. I already have the K42 Whip
for it. Ready to go. :)

Thanks Andrew. Well, a lot of talking changed a lot of views. If we stop speaking out we lose our core. Whatever that may be.POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

Ha! I think you nailed this one! Total blast from the past. I can soooo relate. Wonderful job :o) #7469075Laura E. Swan April 30, 2009
Hi Mark! What a riot to see a new face on this wacky thread. Glad it isn't the same kind of riot as back then!So happy I never had to experience tear gas!!! My Brother and I did -ALMOST-!
We were at the edge of a riot in Richmond just watching it all and the police were trying to break it up. Tear gas and clubbing people! I was so young then...All I remember is my brother pulling up my arm to lift me over this gray colored brick wall to get away fast. (WHERE THE HECK WERE MY PARENTS? HA!)
Thanks again for enjoying the fun!
