Scottish Highlander Calf
Uploaded: February 17, 2005
This is a Scottish Highlander calf. The mother had given birth weeks before and was protective so the owner, Pamela Ainsworth of Fairlee, Vermont placed her in a holding pen for a few minutes while I took photos of the baby. Scottish Highlanders have excellent mothering traits and are the oldest breed of cattle. 1-200/sec, f:2.5.

Good morning, Paul and Carolyn!! Wow...thanks for the positive comments already!! So appreciate your input and kindness.I'm trying to edit some text above in the comment section in my gallery but I just keep getting an error page when I hit the submit button to record the changes...and there's all kind of funky html text in the message area that I am trying to delete but it won't so I'll have to leave it alone. THIS WAS SHOT WITH THE FUJI S2 Pro...not the Canon G1.

Greetings Deborah!! Thank you!! I appreciate it!And greetings to you too, Stan! Thank you so much. I appreciate the time you've taken to post on my image. The mom was 100 feet or so away ...I wish I could have had her in the background and slightly out of focus but she wasn't behind her...just to the left of her so I couldn't include her. STay well!
Thanks so much, Karen! I value your post. #1113858
