Beautiful! I love the starburst on the water droplet that is in focus. By the limited DOF I would say that you used a wide aperture, however to get the starburst effect, I would think you would need a very small one. Did you use a star filter for it? I love the out of focus lights in the background too. Lovely shot. #20009

Thank you for your comment. I am taking Bryan Peterson's understanding exposure course, and this was part of this weeks lesson. I shot this at f/11 with an Olympus E20 plus the macro extension, plus two Cokin +3 close up lenses. No filters were used. I got lucky and the sun came out for a few minutes this morning. The hexagon shapes are from light passing through water droplets that are out of focus. The light takes on the shape of the aperture. At f/2.0, the shapes are round. The starburst was just from the sun hitting the in focus water droplet.
