Description

Nikon D100, 105 lens, 1/125th, f/40 and flash :-( I was taking lots of photos of the birds' molted feathers and was trying to arrange them in patterns. Then I had this thought that they are already arranged in perfect patterns on the birds! I took lots of photos of all my birdie patterns and like this one the best. For anyone who loves a cockatoo, this is the best sight...their feathers going forward over their beaks... they only do that when they are very relaxed and contented and quiet.

Talk about an in your face shot! Nicely composed for such an extreme close-up and the detail is exquisite! Very good photo, Many Feathers! #44101
