Description

Glacier Bay, Alaska. Glacier Bay National Park includes 16 tidewater glaciers:12 actively calve icebergs into the bay. The show can be spectacular. As water undermines the ice fronts, great blocks of ice up to 200 feet high break loose and crash into the water

You got close..I guess each time the blocks of ice fall off, the glacier retreats. I really need to do an Alaskan cruise. You'll have to tell me more about it. Excellent work! #6525796

The ships Captain sat for an hour but we only saw small calving. It was so quiet you could hear the ice crack and they call it White Thunder. You have to experience it to fully appreciate it. #6525806
