Fall Colors

Uploaded: September 26, 2008

Description

Another photo of Johnny Smith Pond taken yesterday. I squatted behind some tall reeds to take the photo. That gave me the vertical color smear. Tell me what you think.....do you like it or is it distracting.

The colors in this image are so beautiful. I like the idea Nicholas, I do find it a bit distracting. Maybe if all of the reeds were approximately the same height.

But this is such an amazing scene. I love the mood.

Good luck!

Thank you Donna. That was my thought also. Maybe I should have snipped the taller ones....LOL

I really like the added color on the right. It's unique!

What a beautiful place!! I'd love to see more!!! #6516027

Outstanding capture with unique colours. I quite agree with Donna. As such this shot is so rich with colour that there is no need of further colours. #6516071

Thank You for your critique Tarun. I very much appreciate the comments. Thats exactly why I enjoy this photo site so much. Also....where else but here can I enjoy so many great photos.

Fortunatly I did take another photo without the reeds. I'll post it tomorrow and maybe you both can let me know what you think.

This is a wonderful place to shoot fall colors, Nicholas. And you did well to capture the same. The reeds seem to be a bit distracting. Would love to see the picture without them tomorrow. #6516371

I also agree, very beautiful scene and capture but the reeds are a little bit distracting. To me, if they were a little more in focus and kept to the right corner, it might be better or maybe not, I don't know. Anyway, your color is beautiful!!....Denny #6516625

Wonderful colors, I tend to agree with the reeds being slightly distracting. But, still a wonderful photo. Can't wait to see the one you took without them. #6517296
