Description

One of the thousands of varieties of lilies grown at the Tranquil Lakes Nursery in Rehoboth, Massachusetts, where they test new varieties. I don’t know the official name of this one, but it looked like a delicious confection of kiwi, lemon, and watermelon – perhaps with some other mouth-watering summer fruits thrown in for good measure.

Wow! This is a beautiful capture! I don't think there is a daylily I have met that I didn't like! This is surely one. Wonderful gallery, thanks for sharing! Kindly, Courtenay
PS If you find out the variety let me know!!! #6447447

If you live anywhere near New England, you ought to come up and see Tranquil Lake (I discovered it's Lake, not Lakes) Nursery. Here is their website:

http://www.tranquil-lake.com/

Looks to me as if the one I photographed might be "Imperial Artist," which is listed under pink lilies. There are a couple of other possibilities ("Geraldine Dean" and "Gypsy Sweetheart"), but this seems the most likely to me. #6447858

Oh, thank you! I will definitely look into this. I'm a sucker for daylilies! I'm in the Atlanta area but they grow well here. Thanks for the link! PS they should use your image for their catalog/website. #6447868
