Using those BP archival settings again, I was able to capture the moon this time with some of its craters visible.

Exif: F Number: 5.6, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/500 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 400, White balance: Manual white balance, FocalLength: 300.00 mm, Model: NIKON D80
