Description

With its wildflowers and views of the Olympic Mountains, particularly glacier-capped 7,965-foot Mt. Olympus and the parks deep river valleys, this short, narrow and winding ridgeline road is very scenic as it climbs to 6,150 feet. It runs both just below and on top of Hurricane Ridge, WA. (named for the winds that blow in winter), and ends above tree line at the base of 6,450-foot Obstruction Peak....Denny

Thank you, Deb and Rolan! This was a good and bad day. I drive all this distance to try out my brand new whoop-de-doo camera and my spare battery was defective and my in camera battery had run down. :>(( Had to rely on my old stand by so all my Hurricane Ridge photos were taken with my Kodak P850....Denny #6423338
