Heather, I hope you don't wear out that 60mm Micro :0) I really like the absence of detail in the water and so much detail in the fish. I think it really adds a 3D feeling plus the colors are so bold. Did you use Buzz-Lite?

Thank you folks!

No buzz used here Murry. In fact my trial verion of Buzz pro has just expired and I haven't bought the real verion yet. It's a bit on the expensive side though if you ask me!!

I uploaded the original so that you can see the entire backgroud.

Once I cropped of the right side of the frame and some of the top and bottom, the background was actually pretty smooth (good thing the tank was fairly clean at the store!!). I just used my clone tool to clone out any remaining distractions in the background after the crop. If I remember correctly, I also may have selectively applied a 2 pixel gaussian blur to the background. #41259

He's mighty still for you to be able to get him this sharp at 1/10 a sec, Heather!! You got him on valium?? Nice work. Don't you find lighting at aquariums crappy for photography? It's a rare thing when I find enough light to capture something without blur! Nice shot! #41468

Great job with this Heather, I don't know how you get such a great exposure on your aquarium images! The Zoo? The Pet Store? He's a cutie...where was this shot? Congratulations on your placement in this months contest! #60596
