Thank you very much, everyone ~ April, Gerda, Donna, Tammy, Sanjay, and Dan ~ for your friendly feedback on this. I appreciate it!
(Confession: Riley was actually yawning as I snapped this. So, Donna, you're closest to the truth on his mood of the moment!) #1038215

Great close up of Riley Mary, love the different angle, he has nice pearly teeth:) #5020659

Mary K. Robison November 03, 2007

Thanks for commenting, Patricia! Those "pearly" teeth are like needles on the rare occasion when he's felt threatened or annoyed enough to sink them into my arm! We take the good with the bad! #5021972

Hi Mary, I've been enjoying your gallery immensely. Love, among everything, your shots of Riley. I have a black long-haired kitty, Pepper, who is hard to photograph! :) #5057703

Mary K. Robison November 15, 2007

Ellen, I really appreciate your taking the time to "review" my gallery ~ I'm glad you've enjoyed the trip!
I feel your pain, as They say, about photographing long-haired black cats. Our old Persian, Shadow, has to be tricked into getting his photo shot, because I need the flash so often to get any clear features.
Throw in the fact that he always looks annoyed, and you can understand the lack of his photos in my gallery, compared to the overdose of Riley!
Time to check out your latest... #5076143

Congrats again for your magical redwood forest photo making POTD. Sometimes I wonder why a photo's been chosen POTD. With yours, I understand completely! #9796871
