I'm really partial to these old things, Peter, if only they could talk! Very nicely done! #987757

Thanks Jim. Ship wrecks, old boats, falling-down barns- As you imply, they have stories to them that we will never know; probably nothing earth-shattering but just a record of ordinary folks' lives and struggles in life. In some ways I find them more fascinating than carefully restored, famous historic buildings and artifacts. A case in point would be my interest in WW2 military aircraft. When I go to a national aircraft museum and look at a beautifully restored P50 or Spitfire I feel just slightly cheated when it is painted with some famous squadron numbers and insignia and even worse when it has the name of some famous "ace" painted beneath the canopy and we know that this particular a/c was never even close to a war zone let alone flown by that person
Perhaps I am too picky!
