He was so obsure I did not see him till he was pointed out by the guide. Photo was taken with a 500mm lens and a 1.7 teleconverter. Given that he his only about 18" tall you can appreciate how hard he was to see at a distance.

Wow, fantastic capture, Deborah! I don't think I've ever seen a photo of an owl with his eyes closed. It's great here, because it draws more attention to the way his feathers blend into the bark. Awesome! #6371181
