Nature's Palette [Contest Finalists September 2008]

A phenomenal winter sunset over New York City, January 2007. Taken from the "Top of the Rock", the colors were so awesome I tried to convince the guard to come take a look. Meanwhile, I almost got frostbite while watching it unfold--it took about 15 minutes, once inside, to get my fingers back to normal, and I was wearing gloves!
Canon Rebel XT, Canon 10-22mm lens at 20mm, F5.6, 1/10 of a second exposure.
