Converted to B&W and banner outside window cloned out as per suggestion of Max Aureli. Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. This is what BP should be all about and I appreciate it.

ok thanks, I will make you an officer, go ahead and make a thread telling members how to delete old images and remember to keep it to just 5 recent images! they can post whatever they want until the 25th when we narrow it down to contest photos only and then it will be 3 a piece. thank you for stepping up!!

ok now I will send what I originally sent, this image is fantastic!! the shadows and the banner gone from outside really add to the feel of the shot. I didnt think I would like this one more than the other, but I do for different reasons. by doing the b&w you added a mood to the image that the other one does not have and its wonderful. sorry about the comment above I thought I saved this comment when my computer was acting up and pasted it back, but I guess not. sorry. lovely re-submit peter. #6258955

Peter this version is much more powerful than the other one...the light is so captivating pouring in onto the objects in that area! You did a fantastic job cloning! I know how much work it can be and sometimes very difficult! An idea....maybe color selection and just the painting on the wall in color? #6259670

Thank you very much Aimee for your very nice comments. I did consider doing what you suggest but I am not sure it would add to this particular evolution of the window image as it would perhaps pull the eyes too much towards it rather than the image as a whole. Hopefully it is the darkness of the interior contrasting with the bright sunlight of the outside that gives the image a little bit of tension. This one only has the minimal title to distinguish it from the other versions but what I really want the viewers to do is to come to their own conclusion as to the what, why, where and when. The decrepit wall, old badly painted window frame, the 18th/19th century jugs, tell us one thing, the abstract painting and the electrical outlet tells us something different. You will have noticed that on the other versions I did tell the story of how it came about but many folk on BP have made suggestions so this final one loses that mystery but later a print version might be shown at some gallery and folks will be left to their own thoughts. Wanna bet there will be at least one person who will criticize the damp and mold on the wall!

I have had the embarrasment of pasting an unintended comment I had copied onto the wrong email. Fortunately it was to a friend and she just thought I had been on the moonshine!

Hi Dale. Thanks my friend for wading your way through several pages of images to find this. I have most of my family back in the UK so I leave even the more(most!) mediocre images in my gallery so that they can browse around and find what I have been up to.
Here in central Illinois, just cross the Mississippi from St Louis we are experiencing 91F today, probably not so impressive to you desert dwellers but only about one degree short of our all time record for this date. Now my wife and I are off to the opening of an art show in St Charles, MO where she has a couple of pieces of work entered. It's a great evening for it.
