I love geese and gulls, and love the adventure of trying to capture their movement . This capture is magnificent. Did your use lighting effects or is that natural sunlight glowing on these awesome creatures? #320533

Hi Kaye and thanks a lot for taking time to view the image and for your comments. This image was shot in morning light at the Cincinnati Nature Center in Batavia, OH. I used a 35-105mm at 105mm @f/8.
I was hand holding the camera and manually focusing.
I took several exposures of this situation as the birds were flying away and was a little lucky to get one that was razor sharp. Of course, with modern equipment, this type of image is more easily attainable. But, the most important thing is to just be there waiting for the right moment. I knew through experience that the geese take off into the morning light and was there waiting. As you can see, I was rewarded for my efforts. Thanks again! #1917411
