I must apologize for being away and not commenting on your beautiful photo's.
We laid my Mother to rest this past weekend. As we were not able to do so when she passed Jan. 1.
This is a photo of Hopewell Rocks in New Brunswick. My parents took me there when I was a child, we in turn took my children. We were able to take two of our three grandchildren there with my Father at our side. Brought back so many wonderful memories.

As you leave Alma, New Brunswick, and drive north, the coast road winds through covered bridges and along rocky coasts and driftwood-covered beaches. The Rocks Provincial Park at Hopewell Cape has many curious rock formations that are the result of the Bay of Fundy tides. The rock formations reach over 50 feet high. Some of these are called the "flower pot" rocks because that is sort of what they look like when the tide is out. Unfortunately, if the tide is in, you see nothing but the trees growing on the tops of the rocks, and they look like ordinary islands. Therefore, it is important to time your visit right! In fact, the ocean is barely visible at low tide. You can stand at the edge and literally watch it rise or fall.Melissa Olsen June 26, 2008

Roxanne- Hello and good morning my dear friend. To things that are heart felt is the discription of the place, a beautiful story behind the picture, and the fact that it is a special place that has been shared from one generation to the next. Hi Roxanne,Lorraine A. Cook June 27, 2008
You and your family have been in thoughts and prayers, Sweetie...LINGERING JOYS...
The tide recedes, but leaves behind
bright seashells on the sand.
The sun goes down, but gentle warmth still lingers in the land,
The music stops, and yet it echoes on in sweet refrains...
For every joy that passes, something beautiful remains.

A beautiful image ... and a beautiful memory! That is why I love photography so much ... because it is a way of capturing those precious moments that we may or may not ever have again.I especially like the little people in the picture since they are an indication of just how massive those rock formations really are!
Wonderfully done, Roxanne!
Oh, and thank you so much for adding me as one of your favourites! You don't know how much it means to me! :) #6156402

Roxanne,This photo also brings back wonderful memories for me. My three boys and I drove from Idaho to the Canadian Maritimes last summer. We visited Hopewell Rocks, among other beautiful places. I lost all of the photos when both the original drive and the back-up drive I copied the photos to, malfunctioned. I have only a few photos of that enitre trip which I had transferred to my laptop.
This is a wonderful shot with nice effects. Thanks for sharing!! #6159952
