Thank you Cheryle, I seem to be able to get them fairly well sitting still, but hovering is another story! #6100770Vitor Dias June 24, 2008
Lovely shot of a beautiful, good one Anna. #6101000Hazel H. Cromer June 24, 2008
Nice DoF and composition. The subtle bg really makes his green and red pop. Nice capture of him with his mouth open. Great work once again. #6101065Sherry J. Kunde June 27, 2008
Wish my hummers would sit still like this for a portrait! Great job Anna. #6113088Gary Lange September 18, 2008
This is a wonderful shot of a Ruby Throat, Anna! We get all kinds of hummers out here in San Diego, usually Anna's hummingbirds and Rufus, just to name a couple. Anna's hummers have beautiful purple-red throats and their heads often get that color when the sun hits them right. Awesome job with the DOF and comp, he's either singing or just opening his little beak for a yawn, lol. Very good shot! #6470690Anna Mary Ellerbee September 18, 2008
Thanks again Gary, I always hate to see them leave about this time of year each year. I have never seen an Anna's or Rufus hummingbird. They say they are in our area sometimes, but I have never seen one. Truly beautiful little creatures! #6470930Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
