Description

When I posted this last month I thought it was the best floral I had ever taken. I guess I should be grateful to the editor for NOT picking it out as I went back to the drawing board and this time it looks sharper and retained more detail in the highlights.

Exif: F Number: 9, Exposure Bias Value: -1.33, ExposureTime: 1/320 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 200, White balance: Manual white balance, FocalLength: 70.00 mm, Model: NIKON D300

I have purposely made the stalks disappear into the black as I didn't like them going straight out of the picture as it drew your eyes down. Having said that on another monitor I can still see the green stalks. Any helpful critique would be appreciated as I shall certainly have another go with this if it doesn't get anywhere this time around. #939035

Beautiful capture Kate! Gorgeous lighting and wonderful comp. I think the judges miss some due to the sheer number of entrees. It's a wonderful capture. #6041309
