Hassam II Mosque #1
Uploaded: June 03, 2008
This is the third largest mosque in the world and is located in Casablanca, Morocco. It cost $500 million to build and employed 6,000 artisans. It is large enough to hold the Notre Dame Cathedral or St Peter's basilica inside it. It can hold 25,000 worshippers inside and another 80,000 in the surrounding plaza. The minaret stretches for 210 metres into the sky. (T&P)
