Leave of Absence

Uploaded: November 22, 2004

Description

Taken in lake Powell, Arizona. This was taken at the Lone Rock Beach. Looking for interesting things to photograph I ran out of idea so I took my 24-105 lens and zoomed out to 70mm only to include the distant rock formation against the beautiful Pastel colored sunset. The greenish tint of the water added to the overall effect of the shot. I used the keep it simple principle here.. Is it too simple...

Note: Slide looks identical. No manipulation done in PS to acheive these colors just in case s

I had a friend that painted and she once said that she couldn't paint scenes with the colors as they appeared because no one would believe it was natural. This photo is like that. It's beautiful, and you captured a moment that is hard to believe, but we're so glad you did! #934356
