View of Rangitoto Island from Auckland's North Shore, taken about 30 mins before sunrise.

I used a 3-stop grad ND filter here with an exposure time of 8 seconds.

Exif: F Number: 11, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 8/1 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 100, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 17.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 350D DIGITAL

simply gorgeous picture, I love the colors and composition. The rest of your gallery is great as well- I did have one suggestion- did you try cropping out some of the sky to move the horizon away from the center and more towards the upper third of the frame? I think it might draw more attention to the rock formations- but just a suggestion. Fantastic photo though. #923864

Thanks for the comments Derek. I actually have another shot taken from the same place in landscape, which has less sky and more rock. I'll get around to uploading that soon, but thought I'd do the portrait version for a bit of a change. #5939038
