The Black Stuff

Uploaded: May 16, 2008

Description

Seaweed at low tide on Bryher, Isles of Scilly off the coast of Cornwall, UK. The castles in the background are on Tresco. The lower one is called Cromwell's Castle and the upper one is King Charles Castle. King Charles' Castle was built first to defend the island from invaders but it was found that the ammunition did not reach it's destination hence another castle was built in Cromwell's time closer to any incoming ships.
