Bittersweet Remembrance, Dedication To My Mom

Description

Photo of the cross stitch I made for my Mom years ago.
After my Mom passed, my Dad asked if there was anything I would like of hers. I of course thought of this cross stitch which I had given to her on Mother's Day.
It is now hanging in my home.

This will be my first Mother’s Day without my Mom.
The bond one shares with a Mother is so Special and Unique.
I will cherish, always, the time we shared together.
At times the pain feels so fresh and cuts me to the quick.
At times the pain is beyond belief.
I hope and pray that time will heal. Her voice, her laughter are no longer there when I phone to share some precious part of my life, thoughts and dreams.
Not a day, nor a moment goes by without loving thoughts and memories of my Mom
I have store her voice, her laughter, her smile, that twinkle in her eyes, her courage, her strength and yes her tears in my heart.
I know then, that my Mom lives on within me.
Happy Mother’s Day, Mom. I love you.

Beautiful work Roxanne.
I still have my mother, but she still lives in South Africa, and we have lived in Denmark for the past 18 years. She is now 89, and at times it is very hard to be so far from her. #5912885

Nicely done Roxanne. My husband's mother passed away 21 years ago when he was 23. Time eases the pain, but the memories are still fresh and now wonderful and not so painful. Though it would've been nice had she been around to see her grandchildren, we know she sees them from heaven and takes care of us all. God bless you and your family during this time. #5912966
