"Thunderbirds Precision" Over and Under

Thank you very much Jeff for your help on my first Air Show Shoot "Thunder over Amistad". Your information was invaluable to getting some very good captures. This is one of the high speed precision maneuvers the Thunderbirds do and was captured with Canon 20 D at 300 mm focal length, ISO 400, 1/1600 sec (to stop the action) and F/14, hand held. It was 110 degrees in Del Rio that day (I think spring is over).

Exif: F Number: 14, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/1600 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 400, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 300.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 20D

Hi Lynne, Stan, Carla and John. Was a great show, I got sunburned and almost a heat stroke to get these captures as thousands left early due to the intense heat. Had to go through search then carry all the gear over two mile walk from parking to the stage center. I got some EMS friends to give me a ride back just to be safe. jeff Robinson was very helpful to me in this my first air show attempt. Glad you liked this one. Emile #5909978

Thanks Denny I think I will. Hi Jeff your advise was invaluable. I did keep it on continuous capture mode but kept loosing focus with the F/2.8 200mm on the 5 D so shot most with the longer range 20 D and 300 mm lens. (Unfortunately I had to change the lens and got some sensor dust that will require labor intensive cloning out process in some captures. Life behind the lens.
