James,
I read your "about" and can say you certainly are on the right track.
Since you said you build you own frames and matting, you should do well.
It is very unfortunate that artwork such as your shot here should be less valuable than the frame that it is in, but such is the case here in the US at least. I just wanted to say this on your photo for others to possibly see.
You seem to have a great gallery, my first visit, and I added you as a favorite immediately.
