This is another beautiful, "nostalgic" still life, Carol. You have an excellent eye for combinations of colors and shapes. Wonderful lighting and background, too. #5741519

Thank you all so much for your encouraging comments! I have never shot many still life photos and have never had a lightbox so it is nice to know I am on the right track with this one I made. This is the first time I have tried it out. It isn't much of a lightbox, but it was very cheap and I got the idea online. If anyone wants to give it a try, email me and I would be happy to give you the website. I already see that I need a bigger one too, because some of the things I want to photograph didn't fit. So I will have to make a larger one soon.

The shells, some of which are ceramic, are displayed on a little table in our dining room. I would have loved to have had pearls for the photo, but unfortunately, I don't have any. So, I found these beads that we have collected from trips to Universal Studios where band members tossed them to the crowd and from Universal's Mardi Gras parade. #5746354

I just love this still life, Carol! I'm so impressed you shot this in your lightbox. Mine is too small for any really good ones, but your photo is inspiring me to try again! Love it! #5751927
