Peter VELTER April 18, 2008

I like this! I could hang it in my study. I like the colors, the POV and the special effects. Only a true artist can come up with something so unique and wonderful. I hereby officially award you the "Peter's Pick". (This is more prestigious than winning a silly camera bag). #5804532

paola A. Jofre April 20, 2008

Thank you very much Peter, you made my day :) I ordered this image from red bubble on canvas for an upcoming showing. A local gallery wants to display my work for a whole month on their front window. This is one of the images that will be showing. This opportunity really helps to build up my portfolio. I hope I didn't jinx it :). The weather is getting better, people will be out walking and looking at shops on the main strip. I'm hoping to get exposure and then work my way up to the city. Crossing my fingers :)

Thank you very much Peter, It's an honour to receive a "Peter's Pick" award. #5811621

I love the feel of this shot! I think the lighting is just fantasic! A very nostalgic feel....I'm very into that! Nice Job! #5825066

Laura E. Swan level-classic April 22, 2008

Wow. This shot takes me back to when I was about 9 years old. I was in a carload of OLDER GIRLS (15-17 yrs old) that shocked me by lighting up cigarettes. They told me if I "told on them" they would beat me up. (Nice girls huh?) I could hardly wait to run into my mothers arms after that frightening experience with the HARD GIRLS!

That being said, I really do like this image! Great job! -Laura ~DRU~ #5826820

paola A. Jofre April 23, 2008

Thank you very much Aimee and Laura!! :)

That is an awful experiance Laura,I'm really glad that you had your mom's hug to go home too. I always fear these kinds of experiances will happen to my oldest daughter. I trust her, not her friends.

What really took hold of me in this shot was the perspective of the shot.It made me feel like I just wanted to jump in, sit back, relax, listen to music and enjoy the beautiful sunny day. I found something very comforting in this image :) Hope I explained myself okay :) #5829759

Laura E. Swan level-classic April 23, 2008

You sure did explain yourself well. Just keep an eye on older kids and her friends you don't trust. Our instincts are usually pretty good!

In my case we were visiting my parents "DEAR OLD FRIENDS" from hundreds of miles away that they hadn't seen in many years. Their 4 (5?) kids were WILD and ILL MANNERED and MEAN. I got stuck in the car somehow with their 3 daughters and my sister for the JOYRIDE that had no JOY! Ha! #5830575

M.Christine Duncan April 23, 2008

This goes back to when cars were made of REAL materials, they carried some weight to them, and made a lasting impression on young and old alike, much like this photo will as well!!! Wonderful! #5831983

paola A. Jofre April 24, 2008

Thank you very much Christine !! :)

There is something about the past, when I look at images or find objects from the past they seem to have more character and you can feel the hard work that when into it. I'm not against progress or modern objects, I just like old things, more personality :) #5835158

This image is my favorite in your gallery, Paola. When I saw it I had an immediate transfer in my mind back to my teenage years. It brings back many memories and the corn peeking thru the windows is just what I would have seen at home in the fields... #6072049

paola A. Jofre June 17, 2008

Thank you very much Karen !! :0) I'm really glad you like it....it's one of my favourites as well...i've tried to do others like it...but I can't....they don't come close to this....have to come up with something new for the other cars :) I really wanted to bring back innocence in this image...comfort...a place in a different time....When I see this image ..i hear giggling...i see smiles..i see summer...the moment :) #6072159
