As her boyfriend was off eating that moth from the spider's web, this female Northern Cardinal looks on, waiting to ask him how much protein he had today while awaiting mating season.

Hi Kay and William, and thank you. You never know what you are going to get when you set out into the wild. I had targeted warblers, got frustrated with the difficulty in capturing them, but then ended up getting some great settings and action with the female and male cardinal, who grabbed a moth in another photo minutes earlier. #5546493
