Brown Creeper Gleaning

Uploaded: February 17, 2008

Description

ISO 800, f/8, 1/640 sec, Canon 400mm DO IS lens + 1.4X extender, handheld. These birds are relatively common, but sometimes hard to find, and (for me at least) very difficult to photograph. This bird happened to be working up a tree right by the trail. They climb up trees in similar fashion to woodpeckers, and dig small insects out of the crevices.

Exif: F Number: 8, Exposure Bias Value: 0.33, ExposureTime: 1/640 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 800, White balance: Manual white balance, FocalLength: 560.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 5D
