Description

The legend is that 3 sisters Meehni,Wimlah &Gunnedo fell in love with 3 brothers from another tribe,marriage was not allowed so a battle broke out.A witchdoctor from the sisters tribe turned them into rock formation to protect them ,and when the battle was over he would reverse the spell,but the witch doctor was killed and so to this day the 3 sisters are standing for all who visit Katoomba.they overlook the Jamison Valley.the height of the sisters respectively is 922,918.and 906metres tall,thats over 3,000 feet above sea level.

WOW, Margaret - what a FABULOUS capture this is of the iconic Aussie sisters!! I agree with Paul - I haven't seen them framed and captured like this before!! A V-E-R-Y nicely seen AND taken image!! I, too, LOVE the Blue Mountains!! :o)

Thank you for your lovely response,with all the wet weather we have been having ,you usually cant see the sisters or the valley for fog and mist,so with the sun coming out so did all the tourist buses but it was great to see them admiring our attractions. #5501380
