I recall your other image, Bill, and from memory I prefer this version. Perhaps it's that I have a
bias towards vertical composition. I also like the crispness.

Thanks Steve. The other was horizontal and shot at a more tangential angle which I thought emphasized the spiral whereas this one shot more straight on emphasized the regularity of the pattern.
