Symona, Glad you liked this. My wife and I were on a boat tour of Lake Chelan in Washington state when the captain spotted a band of bighorns on the cliffs. These two rams and about thirty ewes and young ones. The captain was kind enough to swing around so we could photograph this mating ritual. The sheep here are quite elusive and rarely seen, so this was a very special day for us. Thanks for your kind comment.

My husband and I used to live in N.Wa. and never saw them. Now we live in Montana with our 7 kids and we see them everyday...funny how things change!!

Symona, Elizabeth, thank you. This shot was hand held, long distance, very windy day and from a boat. I was very lucky.

You were especially priviledged to witness this rare opportunity. Having taken the picture is even more precious. Love the composition and that moment when they are about to tangle, such an awesome sight. Great job! #5467060
