Description

f/22, shutter 1/10 sec, Manual exposure Canon 28-105mm lens

We were driving through the mountains near Grand Lake, Colorado looking for good snowy scenes to photograph. Near the top of one of the passes, I found this area where fresh snow had filled in the snowmobile tracks near where a stream path created a deeper ridge in the snow. I cropped the photo to get rid of the bottom of the trees in the background. Then I used dodge and burn techniques to bring out the details in the natural lines found in the snow.

Exif: F Number: 22, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/10 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 100, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 83.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 5D
