Thank you. I'm glad you like the image. It is totally original with no digital manipulation. The image was taken at Anthony Key Resort in Roatan, Honduras. The shot was taken with a Tamron 28-200mm zoom lens on a Nikon 8008s camera using Fujichrome Velvia 100 slide film. The slide was then scanned with a Nikon Coolscan 4000 slide scanner. I did not record the camera settings, but I metered for the sunset while keeping the shutter speed as fast as possible to freeze the dolphin and water. #812568

Well I am very impressed Michael. It is so hard to know just when the dolphin will jump and you caught the moment perfectly. I hope you win with this shot!!! #812576

Michael,
I can't even imagine capturing a shot like this! This truly looks like a 'once in a lifetime' shot. Great work on being ready to frame and expose properly for this. I agree with others -- if this is not a winner, I don't know what it takes!
God Bless,

Stunning-- you snapped at just the right time. I hope it's not rude of me to offer this suggestion... but if it doesn't win this time around, it may be because it looks quite grainy/pixely to me. I'd try fixing that (maybe with NeatImage) and resubmitting... but it's an extraordinary composition and hopefully it just wins this time. Congrats on a remarkable image.
