Description

This one of my daughter was taken with my new Christmas present...a Nikon D300, I'm so in love with it!!!
Window light. 70mm, f/5.6
Converted to B&W with a slight tint added, and adjusted levels.
I'd like to add something to the space to the left to fill the frame but if I crop it you don't get the full effect of her hair, any suggestions?

Exif: F Number: 5.6, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 8/1000 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 200, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 70.00 mm, Model: NIKON D300

This is absolutely beautiful. I'm not really sure what to use to fill the empty space. Maybe her name in a creative way... #822859

Beautiful, Brandi-Lee! Excellent clarity and the light is perfect...looks like you're going to have lots of fun with your new Christmas gift! I agree with Terri, try putting Emily's name to her left with a fun font and some neat effects. #5298444

It doesn't need anything on the left. I like the crop just as it is. White space is powerful. #5298624

Brandi, your daughter is just beautiful and a perfect little model! I love the effect you got with the conversion! As for the empty space, I think it looks great, or you could crop that side into the very edge of her hair at the bottom that way you won't loose any hair!

Thank you for your cute comment on my great-granddaughters photo, Aniyah Gets Her Groove Back...she was actually sound asleep! :-) #5331016

Truly lovely portrait. And I like the space to the left: no need to fill or crop. #5391897
