Description

F/8,1/160sec,ISO-400, 35mm macro. My Bird of Paradise is now in full bloom, seems to be a bit early this year. (still end of winter here) Taken 17/9/04. Just learing to use my new camera. I disliked the background in this photo so applied the PS radial blur filter to it.

Nice captured Wayne! These flowers are really special and beautiful. I saw them first time on Hawaii last year growing everywhere. You are really lucky man to have them at home.

The Maori (indigenous peoples) name for New Zealand is Aotearoa; translated this means the Land of The Long White Cloud. Whanagrei is situated at:
Longitude :174°22'0" E
Latitude : 35°46'0" S

Best shot of this Bird of Paradise I have seen, Wayne, along with the effects! Some of my neighbors have these as hedges and they are in bloom everywhere!! Excellent composition!!
